After nearly 17 years with the South Central Ohio Educational Service Center, Executive Assistant Beverly Sember will retire on Dec. 31, 2015.

Sember married in 1974, and moved 21 times as her husband’s work relocated him to jobs across the country. They arrived in the area first in 1980 when he accepted a job in Piketon, but left five years later, only to return to Piketon in 1992. Beverly followed him here later, and started working in the Title I Department of the South Central Ohio ESC in 1999. In 2004 her position transitioned into executive assistant, where she remained until her retirement.

“The skills that I received from other positions have made my employment at the ESC very successful,” Sember said.

In her retirement, Sember will move to Pennsylvania to care for her parents, but said she will always remember the family she made at the South Central Ohio ESC.

“This has been a great place to live,” Sember said. “The people at the ESC are what make this organization. They are supportive and are a great bunch to work with. It has been a phenomenal experience.”
