Area church services

* First Church of Christ, A representative from the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio in Wooster, Ohio, will preach during the worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at the First Church of Christ, 1224 Dogwood Ridge Road, Wheelersburg. He also will speak during Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. Ladies Bible Study will start at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the office annex. All ladies are invited to attend Bible study. Rase Martin will have devotions at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the River Bend House in Wheelersburg. The praise, prayer and Bible study service will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, and Rase Martin will be teaching. * Community of Christ 2237 Russell Avenue West Portsmouth will gather for 10:30 AM Morning Worship on Sunday September 20 as they welcome Brother Bob Rickman of the Lucasville Community of Christ to share his ministry. Heritage Day is also being celebrated in the World Church with the weekly theme being “Like a Child.” Elder Carol McGraw will develop the weekly theme with Teacher Luanne Day presenting the musical selections during the service. Children’s Church will also begin at 10:30 AM. The fellowship will begin at 6 PM. Next Sunday September 27 the annual Branch Business Meeting will be held during the 10:30 AM Morning Worship hour.

* Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene, 25 Arnett Drive (behind Green High School), Franklin Furnace, Ohio will celebrate Homecoming beginning on September 27, 2015 at 9:30 AM with Sunday School followed by revival services with Rev. Billy Huddleston in the 10:30 AM worship service. Following the morning worship service there will be dinner on the ground. The revival will continue with the September 27, 2015 evening service at 6:00 PM and continue through September 30, 2015 at 7:00 PM each evening. Rev. Billy Huddleston is an ordained elder and a tenured evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene. At the heart of Billy’s message is the Cross. He has found that Jesus’ style is the Cross Style. To be a follower of Christ is to participate in His Cross and allow Him to be revealed. As an international evangelist, Billy is committed to this message and call.
