* The Evangelical United Church of Christ, Sunday at 10am, as Rev. Evan Fisher will deliver a message entitled “Back Story”. 701 5th Street, Portsmouth, Ohio. 740-354-1420.

* Community of Christ 2237 Russell Avenue West Portsmouth will continue their Advent journey with the emphasis on PEACE at the 10:30 AM Morning Worship Service on Sunday December 20. Priest Luanne Day will develop the weekly World Church theme of “The World Is About to Turn.” Musical selections will be presented by Elder Carol McGraw and Children’s Church will also begin at 10:30 AM. The Saints will gather at the branch on Thursday December 24 beginning at 6 PM for their Candlelight Christmas Eve Service to worship the true “Reason for the Season”….the newborn King.

*The adult choir of the First Church of Christ, 1224 Dogwood Ridge Road, Wheelersburg, will present a Christmas cantata “Mary, Did You Know?” during the worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 20. Sunday school will begin at 9:30 a.m., and evening worship will start at 6. A Christmas Eve Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24. Ladies Bible Study will start at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at the office annex. All ladies are invited to attend Bible study. Rase Martin will have devotions at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the River Bend House in Wheelersburg. Praise, prayer and Bible study will start at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23. * The Community of Christ 1392 Thomas Hollow Road invite all to come and worship with us this Sunday December 20 for the Fourth Sunday of Advent. Church School will start at 9:30 with the Worship Service starting at 10:30. Elder Lenora Webb will preside over the Worship Service with Elder Jim Webb developing the theme “The World is About to Turn”. A Christmas Eve Candle Light Service will be held at 10:00. Elder Carolyn Crabtree will preside over the Christmas Eve Service.

* Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene, located at Third and Brown Street, Sunday, December 20, 10 a.m. – Bible Discovery – There is a class for all ages, from Nursery through Adult. Sunday, December 20, 11 a.m. – Worship Encounter with Pastor Art Perkins bringing the message. An interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing is available at all services. Following the offering, the children are dismissed to go to their Worship Encounter. Tuesday, December 22, 3 – 5 p.m. – LCM Food Pantry is open, followed by their ministry at Tracy Park. Wednesday, December 23, 6:30 p.m. – Candlelight Service.
