• Community bible Church located on Fairground Road in Lucaville, will be holding a Christmas play, called “Everyone was concerned” on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m.

• The Lucasville Community of Christ 1392 Thomas Hollow Rd..will be holding services on Sunday December 9. This will be the Second Sunday of Advent. - PEACE. The theme for Sunday is “All Shall See God’s Salvation”. The morning message will be presented by Elder Bob Rickman, followed by a “Healing Service”.

• Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene, Sunday, December 9, 10:30 a.m. - Morning Worship with Pastor Brian Daniels bringing the message. An interpreter for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is available at all services. We are also continuing our food drive for our Local Compassionate Ministries. Please continue to bring in your canned goods and non-perishables to help replenish our food pantry. We are also taking donations for coats, hats, gloves, scarves that are either new or in like new condition.

Sunday, December 9, 10:30 a.m. - Children’s Church. Our new series is “Professor Playtime’s Christmas Shop of Wonders.” Every Sunday we will learn about a part of the Christmas story, as we explore subjects such as bravery, kindness, obedience, joy, patience, generosity and evangelism.

• McDermott Community of Christ Church will have Church School Sunday at 9:30am, with worship by Mick and Brenda Gillette, and classes following.

The worship service begins at 10:45am with Elder Sandy Cable presiding and the morning sermon by Priest Wanda Joslin. Brenda Gillette will provide childrens’ ministry. Megan Smith will give the ministry of music, and Beverly Meadows will be pianist for the service. Prayer service will be held Wednesday evening at 7pm. A free lunch is served every Thursday at the church from 11am to 1 p.m.

• Christ Brethren Church 5877 St. Rt. 139 will be holding services on Sunday December 9 starting with morning services at 9:30 a.m. Sunday evening services at 7:00 p.m. A Wednesday evening service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
