Alma Brewer

Alma Jane Brewer, 79, of Mansfield, formerly of Lucasville, died, Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at Mansfield Med Central Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Earleen (Jack) Davis of Mansfield; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 in Vinton Memorial Cemetery in Gallia County, Ohio, with Larry Parks officiating.

Karen Bryan

Karen Sue Bryan, 59, of Florence, Kentucky, formerly of Wheelersburg, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at home. She is survived by her husband, Harold “Rock” Bryan, of Florence, KY; two sons, Harold “Rocky” Bryan, Jr. and Beth Bryan, of Florence, KY; Dr. Joshua J. Bryan and Michele Bryan, of Florence, KY; one brother, Phillip G. (Tina) Malone, of Cape Coral, Fla; one sister, Deborah (Terry) Evans, of Wheelersburg and two granddaughters. Services were held Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg.

Boone Marsh

1944-2012

Boone “Jack” Marsh, 68, of McDermott, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at SOMC Hospice. He is survived by three daughters Haley Pertuset of Lucasville, Wendy (Richard) Webb of Franklin Furnace, and Lisa Marsh of McDermott; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one brother Jim Marsh of Lucasville.

Services were held Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with George Vastine officiating.

Donald Mullens

1948-2012

Donald R. Mullens, 63, of Minford, died Friday, November 30, 2012 at SOMC Hospice. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Mullens of Minford; two sons, Bill (Jennifer) Mullens of West Portsmouth, Rich (Jeanie) Mullens of Minford; three grandchildren; two brothers, Carl E. (Catherine) Mullens, Paul L. (Sharon) Mullens, all of Lucasville and one sister, Charlotte (Clarence) Radabaugh of Columbus. Services were held Monday, December 3, 2012 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Rob McKinney officiating.

Wanda Peach

1930-2012

Wanda Faye Peach, 82, of Hill View Retirement Center, died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Hill View. Surviving are three sons, Thomas (Mary) Peach and James (Laura) Peach, all of Portsmouth and Charles (Tammy) Peach of Wheelersburg; a brother, Robert May of Columbus and eight grandchildren. Services were held at on Friday at the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. John Robbins officiating.

Naomi Riordan

Naomi Rosalee Riordan, 72, of Portsmouth, a former Minford area resident, died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at SOMC. She is survived by one daughter, Anna (Robert) Keibler of Portsmouth; five grandchildren and one brother. Services were Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Rev. Don Hammond officiating.

John Weber

John G. Weber, 73, of Sciotoville, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Best Care Nursing Home in Wheelersburg. Surviving are two daughters, Jacquelyn (Kyle Bruce) Weber-Johnson of Winchester, KY, and Helen (Michael) Arnett of Minford; two sisters, Mary Agnes Arnett of West Portsmouth, and Ruth Ann Smith of Sciotoville and six grandsons. Services were held Wednesday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Rev. Peter Michael officiating.

Hector Soto

1941-2012

Hector V. Soto, M.D., F.A.C.S., 71 of Portsmouth, died Thursday, November 29, 2012, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Surviving are his wife, Lourdes Mallari Soto, two daughters, Marivi Soto (Abe) Amira of Columbus and Janet (David) Swarthout of Columbus; a brother, Jaime “Jimmy” (Myrna) Soto of Las Vegas, and two granddaughters, two brothers and two sisters. Services were held on Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Adam Streitenberger as celebrant.
