Eight local Junior High Schools (grades 7 and 8) participated in an Academic Competition Tournament on November 15 at the South Central Ohio Educational Service Center. Participating schools were Clay, East Minford, New Boston, Northwest, Notre Dame, Valley, and Wheelersburg.
Each team played two matches to determine which two teams would advance to the Championship Round. Minford and Notre Dame were the final two teams with Minford Junior High emerging as Runner-Up and Notre Dame Junior High winning the Championship by just one point.
The coach for the Notre Dame team is Michael Haskins, and Theresa Havens is the coach for Minford.
