The Rehab Care Unit at Southern Ohio Medical Center will offer a stroke rehab in-service for interested patients, family members, and community members from 5 to 6 p.m. March 20 at the Christ Community Church in Portsmouth.

The in-service will educate participants about the treatment and recoveryoptions available to stroke patients and will also offer attendees an opportunity to meet with SOMC’s new Stroke Coach Jodi Pierron. Blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screenings will be available and refreshments will be served.

SOMC is a Stroke Rehab and CARF accredited facility. A monthly Moving Forward After Stroke support group is available and is offered from 4 to 5 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month in the Rehab Care Unit Conference Room on the SOMC Main Campus, 1805 27th Street.

For more information about the in-service, the support group, or other services provided by the SOMC Rehab Care Unit, please call Jodi Pierron at 740-497-7071.
