The Washington-Nile Local Board of Education met on January 23, 2013 at Portsmouth West High School. Mr. Chris Jordan, middle school principal gave the prayer and led Pledge of Allegiance.

January is Ohio School Board Recognition month. Each building principal along with the Superintendent and Treasurer honored each board member for their dedication and service.

The board took the following action:

Approved the December 17, 2012, January 9, 2013 minutes and the December 2012 financial reports

Approved SERB Amendment

Approved fund for accounting of HB264 project

Employed substitutes per ESC recommendation

Employed classified substitutes

Approved Ohio Principals’ Evaluation System Policy

The next regular meeting will be February 27, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Portsmouth West Middle School.
