Shawn Blower, Early Childhood Intervention Specialist at the Scioto County Board of Developmental Disabilities’ Carousel Center, was presented an award from Early Childhood Director, Tammy Nelson. Blower received the Ohio Pubic Images Award for his efforts in creating greater understanding and acceptance of people with developmental disabilities through his work on the Levy Committee. Each year, Ohio Public Images sponsors a media and awareness awards competition designed to honor individuals and organizations throughout Ohio who, through these exceptional efforts, have succeeded in creating a greater understanding of people with developmental disabilities. The awards were recognized at a special luncheon during the conference of the Ohio Association of Superintendents of County Boards of Developmental Disabilities.
