Aldridge chosen as finalist in art contest

Jasmine Aldridge, a student of Sciotoville Community School, was selected as a finalist in the 2012 “Wrecks of the World” International Art Contest. The competition was sponsored by The Jason Project, Immersion Learning, the North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA), and the U.S. Coast Guard. There were more than 150 participants from 7 countries. Judges selected Jasmine’s entry to be included in the 2012-2013 calendar and commented upon the exceptional quality of her work. Jasmine is a member of the Jason Project, a cross-curricular project emphasizing understanding and preserving our world. Also pictured are Jasmine’s father, Mr.John Stiltner, and Mrs. Carolyn Staker, her enrichment class instructor at Sciotoville Community School.
