Bridge restoration just about finished

By Wayne Allentallen@civitasmedia.comScioto County Engineer Craig Opperman said on Friday the Otway Covered Bridge restoration project only has a few items left to be completed by the contractor, then it will be complete.“They (contractor) have a few items remaining. They are getting the site cleaned up and there is a little bit of electrical work that still need to be done in order to complete the project,” Opperman said.He said once that’s complete the project will be inspected by the state.“The project should be finished in the coming weeks. Once of those items are complete we can open it back up to traffic,” Opperman said.

 

Commissioners see increased casino revenue

Budget projections have the county receiving $800,000 to date they have received $701,317.According to records obtained by the Daily Times, from the Scioto County Auditors Office, in 2012 the county received $207,321.93. The county received two payments in 2012 representing second and third quarter payments.

USEC Reports Second Quarter 2014 Results

BETHESDA, Md. – USEC Inc. (NYSE:USU) reported a net loss of $28.0 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2014, compared to a net loss of $40.9 million for the second quarter of 2013. For the six months ended June 30, 2014, USEC reported a loss of $78.8 million compared to $42.9 million in the same period of 2013.
