On Wednesday, May 29th from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm, The Counseling Center will host the 5th Annual Celebrity Chef Dinner and Auction “South of the Border.” The evening will include a fiesta-flavored dinner buffet catered by Toro Loco, with tapas appetizers, and 10 different varieties of desserts prepared by our Celebrity Chefs, who consist of community members, bakery chefs, educators, business professionals and a local, prize winning team from The Food Network’s televised baking competition “Cupcake Wars.” Our Celebrity Chefs, sponsors, and event volunteers are donating their time and talent to make this fundraising event a success for The Counseling Center’s Youth Outreach Summer Club Day Camp.

The evening’s entertainment line-up will include live music from the authentic mariachi band, Aguiles de Oro, as well as performances from the Ohio River Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross’ Dancing with Our Stars Grand Champions Amy Hassel and Dr. John Turjoman, and a tango from Red Cross chairman of the board Marty Redden and partner Dianne Coriell. They will be joined by other talented musicians and entertainers, such as Dr. Mike Raies, accordionist John Craig, pianist Chris Boyle, singer Melanie Porter Manchester and guitarist Larry Collinsworth.

Tickets are selling fast! If you would like to attend the dinner, you can stop by the Counseling Center’s Administration office, 923 Findlay Street, Portsmouth, to buy tickets $ 35 each (accepting cash, check or credit card), or call (740) 354-3829, ext. 234 for more information.
