Mr. Ware, left a legacy through the Scholarship Fund to benefit Scouts in the hopes of encouraging future Eagle Scouts to continue their involvement and leadership in the Scouting program and their community. These six Eagle Scouts completed Eagle Scout service projects for their community that attribute thousands of volunteer hours given to Scioto County. “We are confident that they will each continue to give back to their community and to Scouting what has been given to them,” said Josh Howard, chairman of the scholarship committee,

Applications for the 2014 scholarship will be accepted from November 4, 2013 through February 28, 2014. The scholarship fund is available to any Eagle Scout who is a high school graduate or graduating senior and resident of Scioto County when earning his Eagle rank. The scholarship funds apply to tuition, room, board and books at any college/university accredited by recognized accreditation agencies and offers a bachelor’s degree or associates degree upon completion of the course of study offered.
