The Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene located at 25 Arnett Drive (behind Green High School) in Franklin Furnace, Ohio, will present “Bow the Knee”, a dynamic musical Easter Cantata, under the direction of Mrs. Connie Otworth, Choir Director. “Bow the Knee” will be performed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, March 29, 30, and 31, 2013 at 7:00 PM each evening.

Rev. Andy Ramey, Pastor, stated that “Bow the Knee is simply the Easter story presented through the eyes of a roman soldier. Too many times in life we think we have many reasons as to why we cannot serve the Lord. In this drama we see Anthony, a roman soldier, not only see that he can no longer follow Caesar, regardless of his history or position, but that he must give his heart and life to Jesus Christ. We see a man go from not believing in Jesus as the Son of God at all to where he bows before the Lord and confesses that he has placed his faith in that very same Jesus. Basically, it is all of our lives. We walk through this life lost without God but through the faithfulness of the Holy Spirit we are drawn to put our trust in Jesus as our Savior as well. It is a powerful life changing drama, based upon the Easter story in the Word of God that brings you to the place where you have to make a decision about what you will do with Jesus in your own life and hopefully that will be to follow him.”

“Bow the Knee” is a musical drama depicting the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as seen through a Roman Centurion’s eyes as he struggles with making a choice. Wonderfully performed music and excellent drama are sure to provide a stirring of the heart as you are brought completely into the story of over 2000 years ago. Mrs. Otworth added, “people have heard the Easter story before, but “Bow the Knee” allows people to experience the last days of Jesus’ life on earth as if they were actually watching these days unfold.”

Join Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene for a truly magnificent evening of music and drama with the presentation of “Bow the Knee”. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call 740-354-9021.
