The Scioto County Career Technical Center Media Center was awarded a State Library of Ohio Minigrant to purchase adaptive technology. The $5800.00 grant purchased digital readers with text-to-speech capabilities. The readers are being used to integrate library technology-based resources into pleasure reading, intervention activities, and academic and career-based learning. Elisabeth Claxon, media specialist, provides students with an opportunity to complete classroom reading assignments in the media center using the new digital readers.
