The 2014 Scioto County Fair Schedule is fill to the brim with activities, shows and events throughout the week of August 4 - August 9.


On Monday, August 4 the headlining entertainment will be Earl Thomas Conley at 8 p.m. Other highlights of the say include a poultry show at 9 a.m. Alpaca Exhibition show at 10 a.m. Flower Show at 11 a.m.


There will be a cheerleading competition at the grandstand at 1:30 p.m. The Clay High School Band will perform at the main gate at 3 p.m. Portsmouth High School Band will perform at 5 p.m. at the Main Gate and the New Boston Band will perform at 7 p.m. at the Main Gate.


The introduction of Fair Queen and Court will take place at the grandstand at 7:45 p.m. before conley takes the stage.


On Tuesday, August 5 the U.S. Freestyle Motocross Championship Series will take place in the grandstand at 8 p.m. Other highlights of the day include a 4-H Sheep Show and a rabbit show both at 8 a.m. There will be an open poultry show at 9 a.m. in the poultry building.


There will be a pet show at noon in the livestock area, a goat show at 3 p.m. The East High School Band will perform at 5 p.m. at the Main Gate and the Valley High School Band will perform at 7 p.m. at the Main Gate. The formal opening of the fair will take place at 8 p.m. before the performance.


On Wednesday, August 6 Tyler Farr will take the stage at 8 p.m. Other highlights of the day includes a beef show at 8 a.m. in the livestock arena. at 9 a.m. there will be an english horse show at 9 a.m. and an open rabbit show at 10 a.m.


In the livestock arena the National Kiddie Tractor Pullers Association will take from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. with registration starting at 4:30 p.m.


The Northwest High School Band will preform at 5 p.m. and the Green High School Band will perform at 7 p.m. at the Main Gate.


On Thursday, August 7 highlights of the schedule includes entertainment by Circus Continental with a performance at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. In the livestock arena there will be a 4-H Swine Show at 8 a.m. In the Farm Products Building where will be a flower show at 11 a.m.


The Wheelersburg High School Band will preform at 5 p.m. at the Main Gate. At 7 p.m. in the livestock arena the 4-H Poultry and Rabbit Auction will take place. Also at 7 p.m. the Portsmouth West High School band will perform at the Main Gate.


On Friday, August 8 Lee Greenwood will take the grandstand stage at 8 p.m. This is also senior citizen day, ages 60 and older can gain admission for $2.


There will be a 4-H Dairy Cattle Show at 9 a.m. in the livestock arena. In the horse arena there will be a 4-H Western Horse Show at 9 a.m. Cloverbud interviews will take place from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.


The South Webster High School Band will preform at 5 p.m. at the main gate. The Showman of Showman Contest will take place in the livestock arena at 6 p.m. with Minford High School Band performing at 7 p.m.


On Saturday, August 9 the Demolition Derby will take the grandstand at 5 p.m. Other highlights of the days schedule include the Junior Fair Livestock Sale starting at 10 a.m.
