Chillicothe (Monday, April 28, 2014) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed project in Scioto County.
Scioto County – SCI-335-14.52 (PID: 84453) – The proposed project is to replace a culvert on state Route 335 that is situated over a tributary to McConnel Creek in Madison Township. The site is located between County Road 204 (Cathey Road) and S.R. 776, approximately 1.5 miles south of the Scioto-Pike County line.
The existing structure is a single span concrete slab with concrete substructure, and the new cuvlert will be a 10x6-foot, four-sided concrete box with full height headwalls. No homes or businesses will be removed by the project, and no trees with habitat for the federally endangered Indiana Bat will be removed for the project.
Additional information regarding this project, including a complete description, maps and plans sheets, is available online at http://www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D09/Pages/Public-Involvement-Process.aspx.
