King’s Daughters Medical Center (KDMC) Ohio was recently named one of Ohio’s best employers by the Ohio Society of Human Resource Managers State Council and Best Companies Group.
“I am so proud of our team,” said Kim Grooms, RN, King’s Daughters Ohio Administrator in a released statement. “It is truly the team members themselves who create the atmosphere of camaraderie and mutual support that we all enjoy.
According to KDMC Ohio,’the statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Ohio, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. The 2014 Best Employers in Ohio list is made up of 40 companies.”
To be eligible for the list companies have to be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity; Be a publicly or privately held business; Have a facility in the state of Ohio; Have at least 15 employees working in Ohio; and Must be in business a minimum of 1 year.
According to KDMC Ohio various companies from across the state go through the two part process in a press release KDMC Ohio details the process, “the first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation.
The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Ohio and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final ranking.”
King’s Daughters Medical Center Ohio opened in February 2013 with areas of specialty including surgical services, cardiology, urgent care and primary care.
