Sciotoville Community School held its Spelling Bee for Grades 5-8 on Wednesday, February 19th. Twenty-five competitors, the top spellers from their individual classes, competed in a series of eight rounds. The winner was eighth grader Jesse Marcum, son of Larry Marcum and Bree Jones. The runner-up was sixth grader Kamryn Paishon, daughter of Christopher and Amber Paishon. Marcum will advance to the county spelling bee, which will be held March 15.
