Four people have been arrested during the execution of a narcotics-related search warrant at 28 Oakwood Ave. in Lucasville. According to a release from Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini and Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware, officers arrested Carla S. Shaw, 49, of the Oakwood Ave. address for possession of Oxycodone, a felony of the fifth degree. Four others were arrested on outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrants from the Pike County Municipal Court and Portsmouth Municipal Court.
Donini and Ware said that at approximately 2:25 p.m. Thursday, the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force made the arrests confiscating several Oxycodone pills and more than $1,600 cash.
Shaw was released upon signing her own recognizance bond. She is scheduled to be arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Friday.
Donini said the case will be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office to be presented to a Scioto County grand jury for the consideration of additional felony criminal charges. He said the investigation is ongoing and further arrests may be made.
Both Donini and Ware are requesting anyone wishing to leave drug information for the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force to contact the Task Force tip line at 740-354-5656 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. All information will be kept confidential and anonymous.
