Darren C. LeBrun, P.E., P.S., Scioto County Engineer, announced the work schedule for the week September 25, 2017 through September 29, 2017 for the Engineer’s Department.

COUNTY CREW WORK

CHIP AND SEAL (weather permitting)

Frederick Road (CR17) in Bloom and Harrison Townships on Monday, September 25th.

Sugar Camp Road (CR255) in Porter Township on Tuesday, September 26th.

Sheldon – Cartro Road (CR308) in Green and Vernon Townships on Wednesday, September 27th.

Bonser’s Run Road (CR168) in Clay and Harrison Townships on Thursday, September 28th.

Traffic will be maintained with the use of flaggers.

MOWING

Germany Hollow Road and Poplar Fork Road in Vernon Township.

Lick Run – Lyra Bloomswitch Road in Porter and Vernon Townships.

Oakes Road in Green Township.

Mt. Hope Road in Brush Creek and Rarden Townships.

Henley – Comstock Road in Union Township.

Colley Road in Rush Township.

McDermott – Pond Creek Road in Rush and Union Townships.

VETERANS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY IMPACTS

Blue Run Road (CR29) in Jefferson Township continues to have flagging operations as needed through Saturday, September 30th. Portsmouth Joint Venture is utilizing intermittent flagging operations as needed to allow for truck ingress and egress to the job site for asphalt material delivery and bridge 12 deck pour. The location of the flagging will be near the intersection of Blue Run Road and Flowers – Ison Road (TR381). This will allow for safe travel along Blue Run Road and avoid concerns with limited sight distance at the construction entrance.

Swauger Valley – Minford Road (CR31) in Harrison Township continues to be closed through Monday, September 25th at 5:00 P.M. The location of the closure is between Shumway Hollow (TR234) and South Street (TR1015). Portsmouth Joint Venture will utilize full closure, no lanes will be maintained during this time for bridge nine (9) beam erection.

Ohio River Road (CR503) in Porter Township continues with flagging operations through Saturday, September 30th from 7:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Monday through Saturday. The location is between Egbert Street and State Route 140. The operation will provide access and safe crossing of tandem street trucks hauling to US-52 ramp A.

Slocum Avenue in Porter Township will have fifteen (15) minute closures beginning Monday, September 25th at 7:00 A.M. continuing through Wednesday, September 27th at 5:00 P.M. No lanes will be maintained during each fifteen (15) minute closure to set beams at bridge five (5). Once beams are secured on the beam seats traffic will be opened back up in both directions.
