CHILLICOTHE– As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on a culvert rehabilitation project in Scioto County.
SCI-522-3.42 (PID: 103741) – It is proposed to rehabilitate the structure on state Route 522 that is located at the 3.42-mile marker, between T.R. 262 (Mill Road) T.R. 263 (Giant Oaks Mill Road), three miles east of U.S. 52 in Porter Township. The existing structure is a 100X72-inch corrugated metal pipe, and the bottom of the pipe will be paved with concrete.
The project will require approximately 0.137 acres of permanent right of way; however, no homes or businesses will be removed as a result. Work will be completed using state forces, and closure of the roadway may be necessary to complete all or portions of the project.
