All Saints Episcopal

The community is warmly invited to worship with All Saints’ Church. On Sunday, the church gathers for Communion at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Christians of every denomination are welcome to receive communion in the Episcopal Church. All Saints’ is located at the corner of 4th and Court Streets in Portsmouth.

Berean Baptist Church

Berean Baptist Church invites citizens from around the area to join them this Sunday, July 2, 2017, to celebrate 137 years of ministry. The day begins at 9:30 a.m. with Sunday School followed by the morning service at 10:40. We will then enjoy lunch together in the gym followed by an afternoon service. Nahum O’Brien, one of our own who is a missionary to Norway, and his wife Arin will join us for the day; and Nahum will preach in the afternoon service. There will be no evening service this week, but our regular evening service is at 6:00 p.m. On Wednesdays, in addition to our prayer service at 7:00 p.m., the New Life Teens and the children meet at 6:45 p.m.

Berean will also hold “Over the Moat,” which is for children of Sciotoville who are between the ages of five to 12. From 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., children will be able to enjoy Bible Stories, games, crafts, puppets, water slides, and more. Candy Run Tabernacle

Candy Run Wesleyan Youth Camp, located at 1054 Lucasville-Minford Road, Lucasville, will occur from July 10 to July 14, 2017. Sign in will be at 3:00 p.m on July 10. The camp includes meals, beds, classes, recreation, bibles classes, missionary classes with EFM missionaries present, sports, games and water slides. Evangelist Rev. Adam Buckler will speak each night at 7:00, along with platform manager Rev. Matthew Blankenship. There will be a small fee for each youth attending camp, and each youth will need cash for concession stand. Adults will be permitted for evening services only, Come see Rev. Community of Christ

Community of Christ, located at 2237 Russell Avenue, West Portsmouth, will gather to partake of the Lord’s Supper and observe the Sacrament of Confirmation during their 10:30 a.m. Morning Worship Hour on Sunday. Seventy Justin Delong will develop the weekly World Church theme of “Welcome and Share with Others” along with Priest Luanne Day, Elder Kim Green, Danny Green, Kelli Hunter and Evangelist Vicki Crabtree assisting. All are welcome to attend.

First Church of Christ

Pastor Chad Benner and the congregation of Coles Blvd. First Church Of God, located at 1300 Coles Blvd., invite you to come and worship with them.

Sunday, June 25, our VBS closing program and picnic and evening service will be at Bob and Carla Messer’s campsite at Shady Pines Campground.

Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene

Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene, located at 456 Brown Street in Portsmouth, invites everyone to come out and fellowship with the congregation. Wednesday night service starts at 6:30 p.m., men’s bible study is on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m., and Sunday morning service is held at 11 a.m. If anyone is looking for a place to worship, the Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene is welcoming any and all new guests or members.

St. John Lutheran Church

St. John Lutheran Church invites you to come worship with the congregation. They are located at 5600 Junior Furnace/ Powellsville Road, Franklin Furnace, Ohio and will have the Children’s Bible school program this coming weekend. Sunday morning worship begins at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come join us for a fun, song filled service.
