World Championship of Cornhole V
The Miller Lite World Championship of Cornhole V is the ultimate two-day Cornhole event taking place Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-5, 2010, inside the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington, West Virginia. The event features five big tournaments culminating with the World Championship in which the top 32 two-person teams will walk away with a share of the $5,000 cash prize and the winners will take home $1,200 cash and custom championship belts. Clay Golf Scramble
The Clay Athletic Department will hold its annual golf scramble on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at the Shawnee State Golf Course. The cost is $50 (individual)/$200 (team) and will include eighteen holes of golf, cart, prizes (1st: $300/2nd: $200), door prizes, skill contests, and food/drink. Golf Scramble
The University of Rio Grande men’s and women’s basketball programs will be hosting a golf scramble on Saturday, July 31 at Franklin Valley Golf Course in Jackson, Ohio. The four-person scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.“A” Flight will have cash prizes for 1st and 2nd place while “B” Flight will have gifts awarded for 1st and 2nd place. The cost of the four-person scramble is $40 per person for 300 Club members and $60 per person for those who are not 300 Club members. West Middle School Volleyball Fundraiser Tourney
A co-ed adult volleyball tournament to raise money for West Middle School Volleyball will take place Saturday, July 31, at West Middle School. Entry fee is $60 and teams must have a five player minimum and must have two female players on the court at all times. Registration deadline is July 28. Wheelersburg Little League Baseball
Tryouts for Wheelersburg fall season will take place on Saturday, August 7, at 5 p.m. at the Wheelersburg Little League 7-8 year old field. Players must be between the ages of 6 and 7. One team will be compiled to travel the area and will play 15-20 games. Season will run from mid-August to October. Contact 574-1368 with questions. Rain date for signups will be Sunday, Aug. 8.
