I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make our school supply drive a success for 2009. We served 5,000 students in public schools located in Scioto County. Without our sponsors, donors and volunteers we would not have been able to provide this service to the community. Thank you to the Scioto Foundation, SOMC, Beverly Stringer, Melissa Hutchins, Pepsi, WPAY, Barb Pratt and WNXT, ORVJCF, Dept. of Job and Family Services, including AFSCME Local 3501,Casey Thacker and Anita Newsome from Palmetto, RSVP Volunteers, Staples, Office Peddler, Rebecca Wheelersburg, Lisa Carver and the Portsmouth Area Chamber of Commerce and everyone who contributed either money or new supplies.
