Students awarded at SSU’s Undergrad Art Show

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — Student artists at Shawnee State University’s Undergrad Art Show at the Appleton Gallery in the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts were awarded for their work in March. Artist Jimi Jones judged the show.

Best in Show is by Ann Marie Daly- Hyden who won for her “Mark Smith Works.” The winners in the five categories are:

2nd Place: “The Cowboy” by Pamela Vest

3rd Place: “Winter” by Hannah Adkins

Honorable Mention: “Royal” by Brandon Callihan


1st Place: “Small Mans Bottles” by Tyler Bradford

2nd Place: “Exodus” by Carrie Hall

3rd Place: “Pitcher of Wines” by Johnny Grizzell


1st Place: “Penn Station” by Jessica Martin

2nd Place: “The Clearing” by Jessica Martin

3rd Place: “Pitrapee” by Alyson Howard
