Colonel Harland Sanders’ secret recipe to a well-lived life included giving back to the community and helping those in need. That is just what the two local KFC restaurants did recently in the Portsmouth area.

On April 12th the Rosemount KFC/Taco Bell donated 75 individual side dishes of Cole Slaw to the Lucasville Kiwanis Club for their biggest fundraiser of the year. The proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to provide shoes for any child in need in the four area Scioto County school districts.

Then on May 3rd the KFC Team in New Boston donated 200 individual side dishes of Cole Slaw to the Community Action Organization for the picnic to celebrate the Anti-Bullying Program. The program is to educate children about bullying and how to prevent it.

Keith Chambers a spokesperson for both restaurants said, “We, at Team Bagshaw, want to nourish our communities and help those organizations that are in need. If your organization is interested in Team Bagshaw’s fundraising opportunities stop by your location restaurant and talk to a manager.”

Both restaurants are owned an operated by Team Bagshaw which has been operating Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants since 1971, and has now grown to owning or operating 33 restaurants composed of 11 KFC restaurants, 13 KFC/Long John Silver’s, 3 KFC/Taco Bells, 1 KFC/A&W, 1 Taco Bell/Long John Silver’s and 4

Long John Silver’s restaurants in Ohio and Northern Kentucky.
