The Area Agency on Aging District 7 announced they will be moving their office from Portsmouth to Wheelersburg this week.
The last day of operation in their current office located at 1644 11th Street will be Tuesday.
The first day of operation in their new location is anticipated to be Friday, Dec. 21. The new office will be located at 8058 Ohio River Road next to Little Caesar’s Pizza.
“Consumers, caregivers, families, or the community who need to stop by the Scioto County location, should take note of the moving information and visit the AAA7 at the Wheelersburg Office starting on Friday, December 21st. The office will remain open in Portsmouth until close of the business day on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Those who need to contact the office before the Wheelersburg Office is operational, can always call the Agency’s toll-free phone number at 1-800-582-7277,” said Jenni Dovyak-Lewis, Communications Manager for the Area Agency on Aging District 7.
according to www.aaa7.org, “The Area Agency on Aging District 7, (AAA7) Inc. administers programs for the elderly funded by the state and federal governments. Federal funds under the Older Americans Act and the Health Care Financing Administration, as well as all state funds, are received through the Ohio Department of Aging. The Agency contracts with agencies and then channels funds through this network of service providers. These agency providers include senior centers, community action agencies, home health agencies, health departments, etc. The Area Agency on Aging District 7, Inc. (AAA7) consists of the following ten counties: Adams, Brown, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto, and Vinton.”
